An ongoing problem is state laws that allow candidates to be elected to office when they have run in only a single partisan primary (click the Urgent! tab for more explanation), effectively disenfranchising a majority of registered voters. The 2019 Session will be upon us before we know it and this is an issue we need to lobby our state representatives to deal with, one way or another. And, here’s an interesting option:
