Candidates for Office (Douglas County)

Sheriff
Dan Coverley won the primary by more than 50% so has been elected sheriff.

County Commissioner – District 2
John Engels won the Republican primary and will appear unopposed on the General Election ballot. (In effect he has won the commissioner seat despite running in only a single partisan primary that prevented thousands of people from having any say one way or the other. This is a problem we need the Legislature to correct.)

County Commissioner – District 4
Wes Rice (R) – wesrice2018.com won the Republican primary and will face independent Kristi Kandel (NP) – kristi-kandel—district-4-33.webself.net/home in the General election.

Judicial Offices – A Brief Guide to Nevada’s Justice Courts

Justice of the Peace – Tahoe Township — Richard Glasson ran unopposed and was elected in the primary by virtue of receiving at least one vote.
Justice of the Peace – East Fork Township Cassandra G. Jones and  Erik Levin — will both appear on the General Election ballot.

Need justice with civil experience, Joan Neuffer, Letter to the Editor, The Record-CourierMarch 2, 2018. Interesting letter in support of Cassandra Jones.
